Recently the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT) approved
new marinas in Quepos and the southern Pacific port of Golfito.
The former is under construction; the latter will have more
than 200 slips. A new marina is under construction in Flamingo
in the north Pacific area, and the ICT is currently studying
applications for 15 other marinas on the Pacific Coast.
